I have received a letter from the Dutch Central Authority, what now?

This letter will request that you volunteer to return your child to the country from where it was taken or agree to an international parental access arrangement. The request is usually based on The Hague Convention on Child Abduction. In the case of both requests, your are advised to employ the services of a lawyer that has experience with child abduction cases and to contact the Centre to discuss your situation.

Contact the Centre for details of a lawyer in your area with experience of child abduction cases. We have contacts with lawyers in the Netherlands as well as abroad.
